Website terms
Terms
Use the calculators as planning aids and check product labels, local rules, and conditions on your own property before acting.
Calculator limits
The calculators only use the values you enter. They do not inspect your lawn, product label, irrigation system, soil test, or local restrictions. An answer can be mathematically correct and still be unsuitable for a particular product or site.
Preview data
Every lawn figure in the dashboard preview is invented. Preview edits are not account records and may reset. Nothing in the preview is a live diagnosis or recommendation for your property.
Availability
The website may change as the product is built. Features are offered only when the page says they are active.
Grass ID photo terms
Grass ID in the Android app sends your grass photos to Google’s Gemini AI service for identification. Lawn Ledger keeps private copies with your account, together with your answers, any species or blend you declare, and the AI result. We use this collection to review and improve Grass ID, including private reference and evaluation sets.
You keep ownership of your photos. When you accept these terms in the app, you give Lawn Ledger permission to store and use these records for those purposes until you delete them in the app’s Settings or delete your account. Accepting is required to use Grass ID; you can go back and choose your grass another way. This permission does not allow public distribution of your photos or their use to train AI models.
The app removes location data from your photos before sending them; avoid photographing faces and other personal details. Deleted photos may remain in restricted backups until those backups expire. A minimal record of the deletion remains until your account is deleted, so a delayed retry cannot restore a deleted photo.
Photo identification and AI advisors
Grass ID, Weed ID, Disease ID, the Cultivar Advisor and the Germination Advisor can give answers written by AI services, and those answers can be wrong. Check the product label before you treat, and confirm a costly diagnosis with a lab or extension office.
