Sprayer calculator

A label rate is per thousand square feet, but a sprayer is filled by the tank. This bridges the two — calibrate once with plain water, then every mix after that is arithmetic.

The final tank is a part-tank. These quantities use your entered calibration and label rate. Follow the product label’s mixing instructions.

Calibrating with water only

Fill the tank with plain water, spray a measured area at the pace and pressure you actually use, then measure what it took to refill. That is your carrier volume — how much liquid your walking speed puts on a thousand square feet. It is a property of you and the sprayer, not of the product, so it only needs doing once a season.

Everything else follows: the carrier volume says what area a tank covers, and the label rate says how much product belongs in that tank.

The label is the law. This works out volumes; it does not know your product. Rates, timing, personal protective equipment and re-entry intervals come from the label, and the label wins over any figure here.
